Scenes From a Tournament
We spent the weekend at the YBOA Eastern Regional Basketball Tournament in Virginia Beach. The Tullis Flames played their hearts out and came in second place for their age group. The following are just a few moments from the weekend. To the Tullis Flames, Congratulations! Next stop - Nationals in Florida.

Elise, the Brave!
There is rarely a time I will not pick up a camera given a photo opportunity. However, this was an exception. This 5 foot long black snake slithered it's way up onto my front porch this afternoon right at the end of our Tapestry Class. Elise said, "Mom, get the camera!" My repsonse? "EXCUSE ME, ELISE?! Are you kidding me??" She then grabbed the camera and went out onto the porch to take pictures of the kids trying to capture it. (This from a girl who makes her dad come and kill a tiny spider in her bathroom.)
What you can't aprreciate from these pictures are the deafening screams of 7 girls running around while the boys tried to corral it.Safely in the box! Sean promises me that his dad will come by later this afternoon to pick it up and keep it as a pet. John, I'm counting on you!

The Wedding
Janelle had the unique opportunity to follow around the "official photographers" at Dave and Casey's wedding. Many thanks, Kristen and Lyd! She shot a mere 750+ photos that day and had the time of her life doing it. You can see a few of her pictures posted on her blog by clicking here. She's even taken Senior Pictures for a friend which I'm sure she will post soon. Janelle, you are a gifted photographer. Continue using your gifts to glorify God and bless others.

The first one
There's something about your firstborn. Everything she does is an experiment. She's the one breaking ground for the others. She's the one who bears the brunt of our mistakes for the benefit of her sisters, with great grace I might add. She's the one who wasn't allowed to do things until 13 that her little sisters now do at 7. And she's the one who has set a godly example for them to follow that makes her dad and me delighted beyond description. Elise, you're one of my favorite people to spend time with. I pray for you daily that you would fall more in love with your Savior than you already are. When I grow up, I want to be like you. I love you, girlie.
